This week in class, I learned about the Rule of Thirds. This a rule of composition that involves positioning the subject of a photo to one side of the photo. I struggled with ensuring the camera settings were balanced and making sure the aperture was low enough. My photographs were more successful when I took the time to ensure that all settings were balanced and that the lighting was good. These made the photos better.

This week in class, we learned about double exposure photos and how to make them. The project required a picture of my side profile and landscape picture to go on top of it. The result (right) came out really well. I found that cutting out the image of my side profile was more difficult than I expected but, overall, the image came out really well.

Two weeks ago, we covered the important topic of lighting, a beneficial part of the photographing process. We picked a subject and took different pictures of the subject in different lightings. Due to some restrictions since we were in quarantine, I had to get creative. To accomplish the assignment I utitlized a lamp in my bedroom. My subject was my brother, Robert, and one of the results is displayed to the left.
